Over the past few months I've been happily meeting and getting to know more and more people at the Toronto Pride offices in the lead-up to this year's WorldPride Festival. Â And what an event they're planning! Â I can't wait for the OutSport Toronto SportZone to be part of this exciting and historic experience.
Planning sessions are kicking off in earnest this Wednesday night at our first full meeting, and I'm really looking forward to seeing our Member Organisation reps and players, hearing what you've got in mind, and learning how we can all work together to make this the best SportZone yet!
Just a quick note: our planning meetings this year will be held at Mattamy Athletic Centre in their fantastic new facility at 50 Carlton Street, former Maple Leaf Gardens. Â We're thrilled to be getting to know more about one of the terrific local venues in our downtown community, and one that's the home to our very own Toronto Gay Hockey Association!
