The INSPIRE Awards is searching for six to eight volunteer athletic representatives characterizing various sports, to take part in our special “Tribute to LGBTQ in Sports and the Pan Am and Parapan Am Games” during the annual awards ceremony at UofT Hart House, May 29, 2015. We will be presenting the following athletes with a Sports Hero Award:
- Mark Tewksbury, swimmer and Canadian Gold Medal Olympian
- Fallon Fox, USA Professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter
- Kinnon Mackinnon, Canadian power lifter competed at the Gay Games
Athletic representatives will help create the backdrop to the presentation so must be comfortable rushing through the aisles and being on stage in front of 400+ people. The presentation will be choreographed by community artist, TV host, personal trainer, and board secretary Lorenzo Pagnotta. You may even have the chance to hand our heroes their award.
For your participation, in addition to sharing the stage with such inspiring folks, you will be able to enjoy the entire event free of charge, including Courtyard Cocktail Reception with hors d'oeuvres, Gala Awards Presentations, and Afterparty. At the event you may wish to bring a change of clothing.
