NEWS: TGSC Expands to Ottawa and Montreal

New LGBT Ski & Snowboard Clubs form in Ottawa & Montreal just in time for the 2014/15 snow season. 

As the 2014/15 Ski & Snowboard season rapidly approaches, big news for the LGBT ski community hits.  In the past couple of weeks new groups have formed in both the Ottawa and Montreal regions.  After some consultation, both groups have chosen to join as chapters of the Toronto Gay Ski & Snowboard Club (TGSC).

The newly formed groups; Ottawa Gay Ski & Snowboard Club (OGSC), and Club de Ski et de Planche à Neige GLBT de Montréal (CSGM) will operate as chapters of TGSC, sharing the already existing resources, including website, out of town trip schedule, and leadership schedule.

When travelling, members of each club will be able to join the local day trips, included in their existing membership.

This brings the total number of organized LGBT ski clubs (that we know about) in Canada to four.  The fourth being SkiOut! which operates in Whistler B.C.  TGCS also has loose arrangements with SkiOut! where any TGSC, OGSC, CSGM member can join with the good folks of SkiOut! when travelling to Whistler.

There's never been a better time to join and be an active member of the Toronto Gay Ski & Snowboard Club.  With a full schedule of out of town trips this season, and weekly day trips to local ski hills here in Ontario, it's a great way to get out and be active this winter.
