In keeping with its mission of facilitating communication between LGBT sports and recreation organisations in the GTA, OutSport Toronto recently made a number of improvements to its website, www.OutSportToronto.org.

"These changes will allow our member organisations to connect with each other in new ways," said OutSport Toronto Chair Shawn Sheridan.

The updates to the OutSport Toronto website include:

One measure of an excellent fitness routine is the degree to which one cross-trains. The body is very good at remembering the demands placed on it, so as we continue to train in a certain discipline we find that our body becomes ‘conditioned’ to the demands of that regimen and our ability to persevere over longer periods of time increases...

OutSport Toronto's Annual General Meeting is coming up at the end of March 2011.  At the 27 March AGM, we will be, among other things, electing a new board.  We currently have a number of open positions, and are looking for good candidates.

Per OutSport Toronto's bylaws (29), a person is eligible to be a director of OutSport...

Your teammates (be they your circle of friends or the people you play with) are there to support you and provide you with good advice.  Like, "You really should get that pinky checked out."

I grew up with the type of coach that described gravel as "all season" and expected you to slide, grin, and bear it.  That would be...

My Dad was a certified master painter from Glasgow, Scotland who was sought after by builders and developers in BC because of his high level of skill and professional results. He used to say in his thick, distinct, Mary Hill accent "Preparation is nine tenths of a job."

Any winning team knows that you need to prepare and plan in...

By Shawn Sheridan,

One of the things that makes OutSport Toronto such a valuable organisation in my mind is our ability to build bridges and connect our member organisations to their mutual benefit, including when they're in a bind.

I was fortunate enough to attend the steering committee meeting this past September of one of our member organisations.  Not only did it give...
