The Eastern Canada Cup is a hockey tournament held over Thanksgiving weekend each year. The tournament rotates between the cities of Montreal and Toronto and is LGBTQ friendly. In 2014 the tournament will be held in Toronto, Oct 10-12th. Games will be played at the Mattamy Athletic Centre, formerly known as Maple Leaf Gardens.
The weekend will be packed with social events concentrated in Toronto's "gay village" at Church and Wellesley and of course competitive and recreational hockey. Teams will come from across North America to take part in this event and the tournament is very welcoming of individuals who are looking to be added to a team in order to take part in this incredible weekend.
